Quilling is a technique used to make decorative designs using strips of paper.These papers are rolled,shaped and glued to make different creative designs.

Paper jhumkas are my favorite nowadays among earrings.the main advantage of paper earrings is its light weight.

This violet colored paper jhumka is the largest I have ever made.

I took 12 paper quilling strips for each jhumka and for making the stud I took only one. 13 quilling strips are needed for each jhumka.

Jhumka is a hindi word used for  intricate earrings or ear pieces which is bell shaped. Jhumka matches very well with ethnic dresses.

This necklace is  a different style since the necklace is made of monalisa beads and paper pendant.The pendant is of mango shape which is a normal shape used in Indian jewelry even 10 centuries before.

Red shining monalisa beads are used for this ornament .Red and black quilling paper is used to make the paper pendant.
